Get ready for a journey unlike any other! Mirages of an unknown city have been seen around the world. Is it real … or a hoax? While your detective agency is busy gathering information, your friend is dragged into the phantom city by black smoke. The only one who can save him, you must now enter the strangest place you’ve ever been … where magic, witchcraft and science work together, imagination turns real and weird creatures wander the streets. All around there are people and things gaining unusual abilities and a black smoke that seems to be alive, bringing with it enigmatic artifacts, secrets and dangers. In order to rescue your friend and solve these unexplained phenomena, you will need to fulfill risky quests, explore dungeons, research amulets and get help from friends. Roles:
Responsibilities:
♦ Edited and improved texts made by other writers for the side quests, events and stories.
♦ Developed the general lore system of the world, improved plot, filled story gaps from the past, created new key characters and their storylines
♦ Was editing quests and scenarios from other game writers, made changes in their texts, created how-to documents to teach new writers for the team and also remote freelance game writers. Took part in job interviews for new narrative designers as Lead Narrative designer.
♦ Coordinated the Narrative team, performed writing and designing workshops and lectures, prepared and gave tasks to all team members.
♦ Created internal lore Wiki (Confluence Wiki) with all character profiles, location descriptions, past quests, Events lore. Wrote the rules how to add new information to this Wiki.
Design and writing
♦ Was responsible for all lore in ongoing f2p online hidden object game Hidden City: Mystery of Shadows. Created plot and scenery plans for new in-game events
♦ Wrote all text content for each event, all quests, dialogs, letters, made lists of collection items for each quest chain and provided references for them
♦ Created 350+ complex 6-stages side quests for the game
♦ Created 14 brand new Game Updates (events, stories, scenarios) with unique plot and full set of texts.
♦ Created task documents for sketchers, painters and programmers for new hidden object locations, items, characters and other bonus content.
♦ Designed 20 complex NPCs with unique speech manner, detailed backgrounds. Tied them deeply into the game world’s lore. Provided concept artists with reference boards and step-by-step descriptions of each character.
